NOVA Summer Brewfest - Volunteer, Rep for the Club, Drink
NOVA Summer Brewfest is being held at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA, June 20-21 from 11am-9pm Saturday, and 11am-7pm Sunday. They need volunteers and would like DC Homebrewers to be a presence at the event. I've had a couple people contact me about this, so I think they are serious. We could possibly share a tent with other homebrew clubs and use it as a chance to bring in new members/meet other homebrewers in the area. The BrewFest will feature over 40 breweries pouring their beers, and plenty of tasty food. There will also be local bands playing. Volunteering scores you a t-shirt, tasting tickets and karma points for the club. They need help on the second shift on Saturday and both shifts on Sunday. Kristen and Martin are volunteering for the NOVA Summer Brewfest on Sunday afternoon (2:30-6:00PM). We plan on being at the festival at 11:00AM to tour the beer tents before our shift, and we will probably stop by Old Dominion Brewery on the way back. Will there be more of a DC Homebrewer presence at the festival? Do we have a location designated to represent the club? We can probably transport at the most three people from the Ballston metro to the event if anyone would like to carpool. Just reply to this post and I will check before I leave (10:00AM or so). We will probably be back by around 8 or 9 PM.
