Brewing Cider From Scratch

There was some discussion of Cider tonight.  There's this thread on donrockwell.com where somebody recommends a juicer (which you can get for fairly cheap). I'm thinking that a trip out to a "pick-your-own" farm in VA might be in order when season starts up in august or september. Anybody else interested?  If we chip in, we could probably get a decent ($250-ish) centrifugal juicer, but I'm fine with doing the $70 model if it's just a few of us.
