Welcome to DC Homebrewers Club!

Who? We make our beer at home. The club formed in Fall 2008 and  we have dedicated ourselves to the hobby of homebrewing beer in the District of Columbia. We come in all shapes and sizes, but share the common bond of brewing and enjoying great beer. Everyone is welcome; from the first timer to the seasoned home brewer.

What? Make beer. All the time. We also have monthly meetings at area beer bars and members’ apartments. We run several competitions throughout the year, and organize social and educational events.

Where? In and around the District. We meet at members’ apartments in every corner of DC, as well as bars all around the city. We strive to be accessible via Metro – drinking and driving is not cool.

When? Monthly meetings and regular events, announced via our email list and events calendar.

How? Basically, beer is made from malted barley, hops, yeast, and water. From there, it goes wherever your imagination takes you. If you are new to home brewing, check out the Beer 101 tab (under construction) for more details, or come to a meeting or event and see for yourself.
